For Immediate Release
At approximately 2:15 PM today, a tragic incident occurred as members of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, assigned to the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force, attempted to apprehend Joseph Jebbia, a 43-year-old career criminal. When deputies initiated a traffic stop, Jebbia, demonstrating a blatant disregard for human life and the safety of others, began to evade law enforcement. The suspect continued his reckless flight, leading law enforcement on a dangerous chase that ended near Millwood and Highway 249, where Jebbia eventually crashed. Upon his arrest, deputies discovered a loaded rifle, body armor, and drugs in his vehicle. Jebbia is currently being transported to the Harris County Jail.
