MAGNOLIA, Texas – A tense standoff in Magnolia has come to an end with the arrest of 43-year-old Charles Sinclair, who barricaded himself inside a home after allegedly assaulting his elderly parents.

According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), deputies responded to a family violence call at approximately 10:09 a.m. on Friday, March 7, in the 900 block of Westwood North Drive. Upon arrival, officers found a 73-year-old woman and a 74-year-old man outside the residence. The female victim sustained injuries severe enough to require hospitalization, while the male victim was evaluated at the scene and released.

Sinclair, after retreating inside the home, refused to surrender, prompting SWAT teams and Crisis Negotiators to be deployed. Following hours of coordinated efforts, authorities successfully took Sinclair into custody without further incident. He is now facing charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon (Causing Serious Bodily Injury – Family Violence) and Injury to the Elderly.
MCSO emphasized its commitment to protecting victims of domestic violence, stating that they will continue using all available resources to ensure offenders are brought to justice. The investigation remains ongoing.
