Houston, TX – A fire broke out early Saturday morning at the Lava Lounge, a restaurant located at 9741 Westheimer Road in Harris County. The Houston Fire Department responded to the 1-alarm blaze, which was reported as an active working fire around 6 a.m.
Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy smoke and flames coming from the restaurant. Two additional engine companies were requested to assist in controlling the fire. Crews worked swiftly to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to nearby businesses.
The fire was successfully brought under control later that morning. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.
Arson investigators were called to the scene and have since launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire. The extent of the damage has not yet been disclosed.




The area was briefly blocked off while emergency crews worked, but traffic and business activity have since resumed. Further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
