Harris County – Houston Texas: Saturday around 3:40 pm, Harris County Precinct 4 Constables located a vehicle that had been reported as linked to several catalytic converter thefts off Highway 290 and Highway 99 area. When initializing a traffic stop, the suspects fled and a chase ensued. During the chase, suspects reached speeds greater than 100 miles per hour. Units in pursuit at one point seemed to be losing ground.

The chase ended with the suspected car losing control and crashing near Gleannlock and Highway 99. After hitting a concrete control box and going airborne. Two of the occupants were ejected out of the car. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. A third occupant was last know to be in critical condition after being life flighted from the scene. Mark Herman with the Precinct 4 Constables said all catalytic converters were recovered at the scene. No other injuries or deaths occurred.
