The search for escaped inmate Salvador Saucedo continues, though authorities now believe he may have left the Bellville area. Saucedo, who escaped custody while undergoing medical tests at Bellville Hospital, remains at large as of this evening.
Search Efforts and Investigation
The Waller County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation and has deployed multiple resources, including Bellville PD, Austin County Sheriff’s Office, DPS, and Waller County Sheriff’s Office patrol units. While efforts to locate Saucedo within the area are ongoing, authorities believe it is possible he has moved beyond the immediate search zone.
Suspect Details
Saucedo, a Hispanic male with red hair and tattoos, was last seen wearing an orange shirt and blue jeans. He is a registered sex offender with outstanding charges for possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, assaulting a Peace Officer, as well as indecency with a child (Gonzales County) and stalking (Brazos County).
He is considered dangerous, though it is unclear if he is armed.
