Pearland, TX – February 16, 2025 – A small aircraft crashed in a wooded area near Hastings Friendswood and Dixie Farm Road late Sunday night, with authorities confirming that no injuries or property damage resulted from the incident.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (TxDPS) Southeast Texas Region, DPS Troopers responded to the scene of the crash, which involved a single-occupant plane. The aircraft was found upside down in a wooded area between Dixie Farm Road and Madison Ann Drive, just off County Road 127, a few hundred feet from the roadway and about a quarter mile from Pearland Regional Airport.
Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the crash or provided details about the type of aircraft involved. However, officials confirmed that the pilot, the only person on board, managed to exit the aircraft safely and was not visibly injured.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has taken charge of the investigation, working to determine the circumstances that led to the incident. Officials are also attempting to confirm the plane’s departure location and additional details regarding the pilot.
The crash occurred around 10:45 p.m., prompting a swift response from emergency personnel. First responders secured the site and confirmed that no bystanders or property were affected.
