HOUSTON, TX — A body was discovered Wednesday in northwest Harris County during a search for a missing man, prompting a coordinated response from local authorities. Texas EquuSearch was conducting a search near the 9600 block of Cypresswood Drive at Cutten Road when the remains were located. Precinct 4 Constable’s Office and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) responded and were on scene as they investigated the discovery.
Authorities report that the clothing found on the body closely matches the description of 60-year-old Christophe Giraux, who has been missing since November 11, 2025. Giraux, a visitor from France, was last seen around 6:00 PM near the 14500 block of Cutten Road, wearing white pants, a white winter jacket, white sneakers, and carrying a black backpack. The clothing found on the body is consistent with that description.
However, the body has not been officially confirmed to be Giraux. Sgt. Michael Ritchie of HCSO emphasized that while the clothing aligns with the missing person’s description, official identification must be performed by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. He also stated that a full investigation will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
Precinct 4 deputies and HCSO investigators remained on scene continuing their work. Authorities ask that anyone with information regarding Christophe Giraux or this case contact law enforcement immediately.

This remains a developing story, and further updates will be provided as soon as they become available.
