Three juvenile males were wounded in an overnight shooting in the Cypresswood Trails subdivision in Hockley, near Ranch Country and just west of Grand Parkway 99 and north of U.S. 290.
Deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to an in-progress shooting in the 24,500 block of Cypresspark Glen Drive. When deputies arrived, they located three juvenile males suffering from gunshot wounds.
All three victims were transported to a hospital for medical treatment. Their conditions are unknown at this time.
Three males were also detained at the scene and placed in handcuffs. It remains unclear what, if any, connection those individuals may have to the shooting. Authorities have not announced any arrests or identified anyone as a suspect in connection with the incident.
Detectives remained at the scene into the early morning hours Sunday as they worked to gather evidence and determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
The incident comes amid ongoing concerns about gun violence involving young people in the Houston area. At this time, authorities have not indicated whether this shooting is connected to any other incidents or whether investigators believe it is part of a broader pattern.
