Houston is set to welcome an exciting new concept in 2025 with the opening of Zoomies Dog Park, a unique dog social club where dogs can unleash and people can unwind. It will be located in Houston’s 2nd Ward, the East End, where Zoomies promises to be “The Best Place for your Best Friend.”
What is Zoomies Dog Park?
Zoomies Dog Park will be Houston’s first dog social club, offering a safe and spacious environment for dogs and their owners. Spanning over 1.5 acres, Zoomies will feature well-maintained turf, a curated water play splash zone, and separate play areas for big and small dogs. Unlike traditional dog-friendly venues, Zoomies will have plenty of space to explore and play.
Facilities and Amenities
Zoomies has been designed to be a haven for both dogs and their owners. The venue will offer a variety of amenities, including:
- Craft Cocktails, Beer, and Wine: Enjoy a drink while your dog plays. Zoomies will serve a range of beverages and have top food vendors providing delicious options for both you and your furry friend.
- Dog Parent Meet-Ups and Social Events: Meet fellow dog lovers and make new friends at one of Zoomies’ many social events, including doggie education seminars, guest speakers, and workshops.
- Safety First: The double-gated park prioritizes safety with separate play areas for different-sized dogs, expert dog handlers, and strict vaccination and behavior checks for all members.
Unique Features
Zoomies hopes to stand out with its dog-first approach. The park is equipped with clean water bowls, pupaccinos, cheesy whip, and a variety of toys. It also hosts fun competitions such as dachshund races, flyball competitions, and grooming contests.
The Visionary Behind Zoomies
Ramy Saleh, the founder of Zoomies Dog Park, has called Houston home for over 12 years. Originally from Cairo, Egypt, Ramy is a Texas A&M Aggie and a University of Houston Cougar at heart. When he’s not working as a robot engineer at NASA, Ramy is busy creating innovative business concepts.
Ramy’s motivation for Zoomies comes from his deep appreciation for his dog, Lateef. Growing up in Cairo, where dogs were often seen as work animals rather than companions, Ramy discovered the joys of being a dog parent later in life. Inspired by Lateef, Ramy left his career in Big Oil and Big Tech to pursue his passion for space exploration and creating unique experiences for dog lovers in Houston.
Join the Fun
Zoomies Dog Park will be more than just a place for dogs to play; it’s a community for dog lovers to connect, relax, and create unforgettable memories with their pets. As Houston’s first members-only dog club, Zoomies is set to become a beloved destination for dogs and their owners alike.
