Houston Police Release Surveillance Photo of Suspect in Fatal Shooting at Barker Cypress Road

Houston police have released a surveillance photo of a suspect wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a woman at 1206 Barker Cypress Road around 9:05 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4.

The suspect is described as a Black male wearing a gray T-shirt with a Nike logo, green pants, and black and white shoes. A surveillance photo of the suspect has been provided by the Houston Police Department (HPD) to assist in identifying him.

According to HPD Homicide Division Detectives H. Montealegre and G. Rangel, officers responded to a shooting at a convenience store located at the above address. Upon arrival, they discovered an unresponsive female with gunshot wounds in the driver’s seat of a black BMW sedan. Houston Fire Department paramedics were called to the scene and pronounced the woman deceased.

The identity of the 48-year-old victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

Investigators revealed that evidence from the scene suggests the suspect was seen exiting the passenger seat of the BMW shortly after the shooting occurred. The motive behind the shooting remains under investigation.

HPD is urging anyone with information regarding the suspects identity or details about the case to come forward. A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to the suspects arrest.
