TOMBALL, Texas. A quiet street in the Willow Forest subdivision is quickly becoming one of Tomball’s brightest holiday attractions thanks to local resident Lance White, known to neighbors as Mr. Grinch. White, who lives at 22727 Black Willow Lane, has once again turned his front yard into a spectacular Christmas display designed to bring joy to families across the community.
This year’s setup is the most elaborate yet. White has created a festive walk-through experience called Holiday Lane, complete with a 13 tree Christmas tree farm lining both sides of his driveway. Each tree carries a unique theme ranging from First Responders and Military tribute trees to playful Gnome, Rubber Ducky, and Grinch inspired designs.
The display also features synchronized holiday lights, cheerful music, and a towering 25 foot Grinch that has quickly become a favorite photo spot. Children visiting the display can stop by the Children’s Wish Tree, where they can write their holiday wishes on ornament tags and hang them for Santa to see. On select nights, families are treated to free hot cocoa, marshmallows, and warm coffee.
Behind all the decorations and cheerful displays is a mission with real meaning. For the second year in a row, White is accepting donations for Texas Children’s Hospital in hopes of brightening the holiday season for children facing serious medical challenges. A secure donation box is placed near a playful Grinch themed poem written by White himself.
Neighbors say the display is more than a collection of lights. They describe it as a community tradition that brings people together and turns holiday excitement into something meaningful. Many hope growing attention will help White reach his goal of raising four thousand dollars for Texas Children’s Hospital.

Monday through Thursday from 6 PM to 9 PM with lights and photo opportunities
Friday and Saturday from 6 PM to 9 PM with lights, free cocoa, marshmallows, and coffee
Sunday from 3 PM to 9 PM with lights and photo opportunities
Sunday from 3 PM to 6 PM with free cocoa, marshmallows, and coffee
The display is completely free and open to everyone.
As families continue to visit, Lance White remains committed to keeping the lights bright and the holiday spirit even brighter, all while supporting a cause close to his heart.
