HARRIS COUNTY, TX — Deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office responded to a major crash involving a motorcycle and a Jeep around 6:20 p.m. in the 19700 block of the North Freeway near Cypresswood.
According to investigators, the motorcycle was traveling northbound along the service road when a Jeep attempted to turn onto the roadway from a nearby shopping center. The two vehicles collided, leaving the motorcyclist with life-threatening injuries.
The rider was transported to Northwest Hospital in critical condition and underwent surgery.
Authorities said the driver of the Jeep remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Deputies also noted that there were no signs of impairment.
Deputy Accident Investigator C. Guerra stated that the cause of the crash remained under investigation.
