CYPRESS, TX — Harris County Sheriff’s Office District 4 deputies are investigating a shooting that occurred at a neighborhood community park in the 7500 block of Westgate Park Drive in Cypress, Texas. The incident left a teenager critically injured.
Upon arriving at the scene, deputies found an individual who had sustained a gunshot wound. Due to the severity of the injuries, the victim was initially transported to a local hospital before being airlifted by Life Flight for further treatment. Authorities have confirmed that the victim remains in critical condition and is said to be a teenager.
Neighbors in the area reported hearing several gunshots, prompting immediate calls to law enforcement. As of now, authorities have not released information regarding possible suspects or what may have led up to the shooting.
Deputies are canvassing the neighborhood and asking anyone with surveillance footage or information to contact the Harris County Sheriff’s Office or Crime Stoppers.
Harris County Sheriff’s Office says this remains an active investigation, and we are urging anyone who may have witnessed this incident or captured it on video to come forward.
