HOUSTON, TX — (03/30/2026) — A fatal crash involving a pedestrian shut down all northbound lanes of Interstate 45 near Rankin Road in North Houston late Tuesday night, prompting a multi-agency response and hours of traffic disruption.
According to preliminary information from authorities, a man was attempting to cross the freeway when he was struck by multiple vehicles traveling northbound. Investigators indicated that at least three vehicles were involved in the incident. All drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement.
