Deadly Shooting in Cypress Neighborhood Under Investigation

CYPRESS, Texas – A deadly shooting early Monday morning has left a Cypress neighborhood shaken as authorities work to piece together what led to the violence.

Deputies with the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office were called around 4:01 a.m. to the 16000 block of Dehay Lane in the Stablewood Farms subdivision after reports of a disturbance. When they arrived, they found a 30-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite life-saving efforts, the man was pronounced deceased at the scene by EMS personnel.

Three individuals, including the suspected shooter, were detained at the location. According to investigators, preliminary information suggests the shooting may have been domestic-related. Authorities also stated that the victim may have been armed with a knife during the incident, though it has not been confirmed whether the victim or any of the suspects lived at the residence where the shooting occurred.

Deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office quickly secured the scene, and a heavy police presence remained throughout the morning as investigators collected evidence and interviewed witnesses.

Residents were urged to avoid the area while the investigation continued.

As of now, no additional information about the individuals involved has been released. The case remains under active investigation by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit.
