Houston police are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred Sunday afternoon, April 27, 2025, at a home located in the 11200 block of Whittingham Lane in southwest Houston.
Officers responded around 4:40 p.m. and found a man in his 30s suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported to the hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. HPD Homicide Detectives confirmed that the shooting stemmed from a family dispute.
According to investigators, the suspect, described as a Hispanic male in his 30s, confronted the victim at the front doorway of the home before firing a shot. After the incident, the suspect fled the scene on foot and later left the area northbound on Kirkwood Road in a purple Maserati. As of the latest update, no arrests have been made, and the suspect remains at large.
Police confirmed that the victim’s wife was inside the home during the shooting but was not harmed. Authorities have not yet released the identities of the victim or the suspect.
The Houston Police Department is urging anyone with information regarding the suspect’s whereabouts or details about the shooting to contact HPD or Crime Stoppers.
The investigation remains ongoing.
